Outline of Duties

The Application Support Specialist (Pharmacy) is a support role with a background in Hospital Pharmacy. The role is tasked to provide Level 2 support to users of our medications management application by addressing domain knowledge questions related to the pharmacy practice and workflows within the application. The role leverages their expertise in hospital pharmacy operations and understanding of the application to troubleshoot issues, guide users through complex procedures, and escalate critical concerns as needed. The role is also expected to keep abreast of any legislation changes in the health sector (PBS, Medicare, etc.).


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • At least two years of experience as a Hospital Pharmacist, additional experience in other aspects of pharmacy practice viewed favourably
  • Prior experience with Merlin and/or MerlinMAP (highly favourable)


  • Provide support on medication or pharmacy workflow questions by our customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Act as a point of contact for the development team regarding pharmacy workflows
  • Assist with the development and execution of test plans for the application
  • Contribute domain knowledge to the ongoing development of the Pharmhos Medication Management applications
  • Document troubleshooting steps and workflows
  • Identify, track and escalate critical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation related to our field
